Request Restore Disc for Player

Note: The name “Player” is used synonymously for the Solo and the Axonix MediaDeck and Tera models.

A Player Restore Disc restores the Players system image with the latest version of software.

To request a Player Restore disc fill out the form below.

Determine the Hardware Version of your Player – (so you know which Restore to run)

To ensure that Mozaex sends the correct version of software for your hardware it is required that you determine what the hardware version of your Player or Server is that you are going to restore.

Only X7 supports a Server Restore. X3 typically requires that you contact Mozaex to replace the Sys Drive (to prevent inadvertent loss of Media Data).

The hardware version is part of the serial number located on the Player/Solo or MediaDecks front or rear panel serial number label. The last 3 digits are XYZ – such as B33 where X=B=hardware version and YZ = 33 = the software image version. The hardware version is typically A, B, C, D, E, G, M, N, O, P, Q. The A version uses the older IDE or RAID interface that takes longer (1 hour) to restore while the other versions typically use AHCI and only take 20 minutes to restore.

The X7 serial number is typically X702 – where X is the hardware version (G, P, Q etc.) and 702 = the system image loaded when factory shipped. You may also check on the X7’s Admin Console to see what the Restore Sys image and the EasyUp versions are.

Write Down the Windows COA

You may need to re-authenticate the Windows OS “Certificate of Authenticity” (COA) after performing a Restore so it is a good idea to write the COA number that is normally also located on the rear panel. Systems shipped after October 15th 2009 may have the COA affixed to the inside front panel.

Registering The Player and/or Server – Movie Player

In most cases, if your Player (and/or Server) is attached to the Internet it will automatically be registered with Mozaex if it had already been registered. If you receive a message you will need to contact Mozaex (or email the Registration ID displayed when running the Reg utility) to manually register your Player and/or enable features such as the Movie Player and the ability to play and load Blu-ray movies.

The Movie Player should already be registered on your Player unless If you are upgrading (from an older than X25) Player software. To determine if you have the new Movie Player running – play a movie and press on the remotes Options button – you should see a dark blue menu with a number of options including “Sources” and “Setup”. If you have the older “PowerDVD®” movie player it is recommended for optimum operation and Blu-ray compatibility that you contact Mozaex to have the new Movie Player activated.

Registering The Player and/or Server

Refer to the included Restore Guide or refer to the Documents download section on this web site for a copy of the Restore Guide for details on restoring your Player.

Select either X3 (X33 Restore disc – which includes V8.03 Installers) or X7 (X702 or later Restore):

Important Notices:

  • Check your system’s serial number or better the actual software loaded to determine the version you have.
  • Upgrading from X3 to X7 have applicable fees. X7 does NOT run on ALL models of products.
  • Many Restores and all upgrades require manual online re-registration by Mozaex so be sure to order the proper version otherwise you may not be able to perform the Restore.
  • When you contact Mozaex to register your system be sure to indicate if there are any special requirements such as number of Player licenses supported by the Server.
